- Documentation to meet Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) recommendations
Content: Advanced Industrial Irradiation Dosimetry
To enable the participants to perform all dosimetry tasks related to the operation of an industrial irradiation facility, including product commissioning using reference dosimetry systems, the Facility and Process Management course may include:
- Review of relevant dosimetry systems
- Use of Harwell and Nordion perspex dosimeters
- Use of FWT-60 nylon film and Opti-Chromic dosimeters
- Use of Ceric-Cerous dosimeters
- Irradiator commissioning dosimetry and dose mapping procedures, practical exercises, analysis and reporting
- Calibration exercises using full scale industrial irradiator, research irradiator and underwater calibrator
- Dosimetry record keeping: Routine and special
Note: Recommended supplementary courses: Radiation Safety in Industrial Irradiation Operations courses.
