IAEA Side Event

This side event will present a White Paper prepared by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Denial of Shipment Working Group, reflecting over 20 years of accumulated experience. The document identifies root causes of denial of shipment and recommends practical transport facilitation measures to support Member States and stakeholders in mitigating this issue.
This event is coordinated by Nordion and organized by the Member States of Canada, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, alongside the World Nuclear Association, the World Nuclear Transport Institute, and the IAEA.
The event will be held on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in Conference Room CR6, C Building, seventh floor.
