CNSC Webinar: Nordion Licence Renewal Application
As a Class 1B nuclear substance processing facility, Nordion is renewing our operating licence through the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). In May 2024, Nordion submitted an application for a licence renewal for our Ottawa facility, for a period of 25 years. This facility has been safely manufacturing Cobalt-60 sealed sources used for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease for over 50 years. Over that time, Nordion has implemented and continuously improved our facilities, equipment, and programs to protect the health and safety of people and the environment.
Members of the public are invited to attend a CNSC webinar on Nordion’s renewal application, taking place on March 25, 2025 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm ET.
The purpose of this webinar is to:
- discuss the CNSC’s licensing process
- answer questions from members of the public
